Sometimes I am not able to find lengths of less than 30” and if I am lucky I can find 29” length. The 29 and 30 lengths tend to fray at the bottom so I wanted a shorter length. I measured from the top of my inner leg to the floor and it was about 27 1/2”. I was skeptical about getting the 26 length because I thought it might be too short. However. the 26 length was a good fit. I measured against one of my 29 length jeans, but it was only about 1 1/2” shorter rather than 3” shorter. I think they measure from the top of the inner legs of the jeans to the bottom of the jeans but others I suspect estimate where they think the guy will wear the jeans and account for the difference between the top of the inner jeans legs and top of the persons legs because most men tend to wear the pants with at least an inch difference between them.

These straight fit jeans consistently fit good. Except for the medium wash jeans, I like how they have little, if any, distress areas in front/back.
